Currently, Hurricane Isaias is tracking to reach my area around eight pm tomorrow evening. It is slowing, but there's also a chance it could strengthen. It is a category one, so I'm expecting wind and rain only with a possible Tornado or two thrown in for good measure.

Being landlocked in Orlando, we don't have to worry, much, about the flooding as much as the coastal regions do. The destruction is usually confined to trees and some shingles in these situations, though a tree falling onto a power line is not out of the question either.

That said, many of my fellow Orlandonians (I don't know if that's the official name of Orlando residents as a collective, but it sounds good to me) are taking this hurricane more seriously than they are the fungilitis. It's soooooooo weird. Look, I'm not saying the east coast cities shouldn't be worried, I'm saying that Orlando has no reason to be hoarding as they are.

I get being prepared, I have flashlights and candles in case the power goes out. But, some of these people are putting boards on their windows. And, I'm over here like, come on...really? Really?

I don't trust words as much as actions.

The way the news industry over hypes things you think that a few of these hurricanes could completely destroy Florida. Stay safe kiddo.

Please don't let me be misunderstood.

short of actual unrealistic "hoarding",
being a LITTLE too prepared
is rarely a bad thing.

hope you come through safely as you expect.

and yet, its still mid-season,
so stocking up might sadly still yield dividends.

I suppose, but I bet they feel a bit silly now that it's be downgraded. LOL

I don't blame you, better to be safe and know you have it available to you.

Yeah, we have a ton of canned goods from the same.

You stay safe too

They do here too...

Funny enough, my roommate has had a toilet paper hoarding issue for years. We always have more than we need.

Thanks
