i am in florida, so we won't never feel the pain of being in the cold, but i tell you, i can feel the pain of no power...i went though few hurricanes,and we lost power for a week at a time. we are on well, so if we lose power, we can't use the well pump, so we are without any fresh water, other than bottled water, or water in bathtub for flushing toilet. so i know how you feel.... you are in my prayer, hope you have plenty of things to keep yourself warm, and food and water, till some help arrives.

Frankly, I would probably love that part of the world! I lived in northern Minn for almost 40 years, and neither the cold nor the snow was much of an issue to me, unless I needed to drive in it to go to work, and not even that was all that bad. Now that I am retired, I can sit INSIDE and watch it snow, AND, watch the people that get paid to do it, remove the snow from my sidewalk, my parking lot, and just smile & not go out in it unless I want to !

I feel your pain. Brutal dangerous cold here. -36 C tonight. Blowing snow. Windchills pushing -40 to -50C.
