yep I am happy with my gym as it is set up.alot of older machines mostly cables but that's what I find best about this stuff , its not always needing adjustments just the weight load..mind you now there is not a lot I can do anymore but upper body strength is my main goal.

My gym used to have a treadmill that went uphill and downhill, very useful for my sport. And of course it got superseded by a new one that records you, has a TV screen etc etc but it doesn't go downhill!

Like I've said with electronics for so many years. Yeah, you can do volume control with up and down buttons at their pace and resolution, but sometimes you just need a knob to grab and turn, or a switch to flip instead of drilling down through menus.

Sorry to hear about the equipment at your gym. but sometimes is also a matter of getting used to it. And I agreed with you in so many points...the gym is actually very good for the mind and body...not matter how old we are. I been consistently going to the gym 5 times per week. I always go with my friends so is more like a social group...now my body looks so much better and I also feel so much better...my endurance is amazing. something that at first was a challenge. Now if I don't go one day I miss it. my body is asking me for it. is like a medicine that my body needs cause it actually ask me for it. in regards to equipment at my gym, I like it. they have so many options. and when working out with my friends, I don't even feel the time or pay much attention to the equipment cause I am always enjoying their company. I am usually always working out in a little group of 3 or 4 with them, or at least with one of them...I have lots of fun while getting in shape. I can't complaint. especially when I see the changes in my body. When I first joined the gym I was literally push by one of my friends (Brandon) to do it. he said came over and work out with us, we will pay your membership for the first 6 months and if you don't like it you stop...I said ok, And here we are, is been about 5 months and I am loving it. I am not planning on stopping. Now I am also taking a rowing training class 3 days per week. I simply love the way I feel and look and every day things just get better and better...Here is a picture of me and one of my friends at the gym this week
